Gene’s Jell-o Fruit Salad for a Crowd

Here’s my husband’s creation he made for the football team’s dinner tonight.  Every Thursday the parents have a pot luck dinner for the Varsity football team. The parents make a variety of pasta dishes, meats, various sides, and desserts that they drop off for the boys.   A few of the parents stay there to serve the boys, and make sure they are taken care of and no one leaves hungry.

Ingredients:

6 large boxes of Jell-o, he used 3 different flavors

2 bunches of bananas, sliced

2 – 15 oz cans of pineapple tidbits, drained

12 oz. fresh or frozen blueberries

3 large containers of Cool Whip

2 packages of mini marsh-mellows

Directions:

Prepare the Jell-o and pour into 3 separate 9″x13″ cake pans, one for each flavor.  Chill until set, then cut them into 1″ cubes.

Combine all of the ingredients until just mixed.  Refrigerate until ready to serve.

Recipe Notes:

We don’t usually make Jell-o dishes, but it’s fun, versatile, yummy (especially with the Cool Whip) and simple…why don’t we make this more often?!
