Soft Vanilla Sugar Cookies – A Recipe Review

Soft Vanilla Sugar Cookie

Soft Vanilla Sugar Cookies

With Christmas being only a week from now, this is an easy way to make a quick batch of sugar cookies for sharing or to keep at home.

This recipe came from Six Sisters Stuff, so please visit their site for the recipe, it’s a great find!  If you’re looking for a delicious iced-soft-sugar cookie recipe, this one is sure to please.  The bonus here, is that it’s super duper easy – no rolling pins or cookie cutters required!   You’re sure to have all these ingredients already on hand, just make sure you have a good quality vanilla extract, as it’s added here in generous amounts for both the cookie dough & the icing.  As it turns out, it’s just the perfect amount of vanilla. One of the things I loved about this recipe was that while it was sweet, it was not overly sweet.

I used the medium sized scoop as recommended, then rolled each by hand & baked on a silicon baking sheet.  One recipe yielded a little over 3 dozen cookies.

They’re ever so tasty, & cute as a button!  So what are you waiting for?   A batch of this deliciousness can be whipped up in no time!

Fair warning…they’re pretty addictive!

  1. Oh, they look so yummy. And the fact that they are easy (per you) makes them very enticing. But, no. I will be strong and not make any more cookies. I am finding myself having to/wanting to have “sugar less” (ok, besides what I put in my coffee) days. I over the past two weekends I have consumed more sugar than I have all year! 🙂

    Merry Christmas!
