Waking up to this cinnamon, caramel goodness…this is how weekend mornings should begin! 🙂
Ingredients:
1 – 16.3 oz. can refrigerator biscuits
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/3 cup sugar
1 stick of butter, melted (1/2 cup)
3/4 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup pecans, chopped
Directions:
Cut each biscuit into 6 pieces, place them in a gallon zip bag with the sugar and cinnamon, toss around to coat well.
Place the biscuit pieces in a glass pie plate which has been sprayed with non-stick spray. Combine the melted butter and brown sugar, mix well then pour over the biscuits. Top with the chopped pecans.
Bake in a 350 F oven for 25 to 30 minutes or until the center pieces are done. Carefully invert onto a plate or serving platter, serve hot.
Recipe Notes:
I adapted my version from the Pillsbury recipe. After reading reviews that their recipe was good but not sweet enough, & I thought smaller pieces would allow for a better overall coating.
This would also be great with diced apple pieces, or raisins.
