Hello there! This is just a quick post to share a delicious recipe with you. I found this recipe years ago in Family Fun Magazine and my family has been enjoying it ever since. I made this a few days ago for Sunday Dinner, and I decided to snap a few photos along the way. Unfortunately, my photos just don’t do it justice! If we’re lucky enough to have any leftovers, this is one of the few meat recipes that makes a great tasty and healthy snack the next day, straight from the fridge! In fact, we’re always looking for lunch box ideas…perfect!
1 – 1/2 lbs. London broil, sliced 1/4″ thick
1/2 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup olive oil
1/4 cup water
2 teaspoons dry mustard
2 tablespoons molasses
1 teaspoon ginger
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
Cut steak on the diagonal in 1/4″ slices (or have your butcher do this for you), then place them in a large zip bag. Mix all other ingredients, then pour into the bag with the meat slices. Seal the bag, letting out the air, then squish around to mix it up a bit.
Marinate in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours, or freeze until ready to use.
Skewer the meat, ribbon style with 3 to 4 pieces on each skewer. Bamboo skewers soaked in water work well, or metal skewers as I’ve used here.
Broil meat or grill 4 to 5 minutes on each side.
Yum…yum…yum…
